NEW YORK – April 26, 2017. The rooftop of 85 Delancey Street, Manhattan (New York) was the meeting point of some of the main underground artists of New York, thanks to the sponsorship of Somontano Wines (Spain).
Once again, the Somontano #thinkwinely Campaign is committed to supporting culture and arts in New York City. The event was one of the collaborations that the D.O. Somontano has with the series of events Taste Talks -seminars, tastings, concerts and other activities all related to the gastronomy, oriented to a young public of the city of New York and other places of the USA-.
Throughout the night, local artist Bill Rebholz did a live painting, representing the wine from Somontano. Bill Rebholz is an emerging muralist and illustrator of the most avant-garde scene in the city. His illustrations have been published in important media, including the New York Times.
The wines of Viñas del Vero, Enate, Pirineos, Sommos and Batán de Salas-De Beroz were marinated, among other dishes, with a selection of cheeses offered by the emblematic Bedford Cheese Shop, one of the reference places for cheese lovers in Brooklyn.
Both the wines and the pairing caused a magnificent impression among the more than 60 attending artists, who were able to enjoy a very special night, in the true Somontano #thinkwinely style.
